Music Video
Final Idea
Our final idea hs been decided, as we have chosen Jhene Aiko 3:16AM to make our music video. As a group we had several problems with deciding a artist and song to pick. So we settled with an RnB soul genre that has a great story and helps build the tension as well as picking up a unique beat.
Furthermore we have come up with a good story to go well with, our story, evolves within a dream about a girl who falls in love with her best friends boyfriend. We have broke down our music video through 3 scenes so it's easier and consistent to film. I as a director made sure that our narrative was clear and visual in terms of the codes and convention in RnB, we started by planning which shots were effective and how they conform to the genre as well as showing our audiences expectations, and building up a professional art piece.
The first scene of my video was filming the bed room scene, of when Ella cuts the picture of her friend and boyfriend empahsisng her jealousy and sadness. This carried on roughly for 20 seconds until she proceed to her bed. We then move on to the next scene of Ella expressing her emotions and distress. We show a sequential scene of her islolating her self as well as building a relationship with th setting and singing through out to embed a a relationship between her visuals and lyics. Furthermore, we then ended the last scene by enclosing a broad typical relationship of her best friend and her boyfriend emitting thir love for each other by holding hands and socialising. The scene then differs from them travelling to Ella's house while she is the third wheel and is slowley differing in to her own shadow. Finally they then ssocialise and chill in Ella's living room as her best frind then identifies the teared picture of her and her boyfriend in her room then this escalates with an argument as her friend now knows the truth. This is then enclosed by her awakening form her dream.
