Jessie J- who you are

This perticular music video demonstrates genre characteristis of pop, specifically becuase of the performance shots used throughout the MV. However the use of light above her head shows some elements of codes and conventions through pop, becuase it makes her the centre of attention and she is the main  subject. This music video by Jessie J will primarly be aimed for teenagers from 13-25; The reason for this is because teenagers are at a point in thier life were they are influenced by friends and crowds, which makes them isolated and rebellious.

The song conforms the relationship between music and visuals, becuase it portrays a clear message for everyone. The reason for this is becuase we can relate to the lyrics and understand her point of view. The lyrics "Just be true to who you are", consumes a clear image of what she is sending out to all her audiences which amplifies our inner self esteem.
